Year:The 'S' sets the standard for lightweight performance. On any sports road or race bike, the most effective area to reduce weight is its 'unsprung weight'. These are components like tyres, brakes and wheels. Lighter wheels have a lower 'moment of inertia' that is beneficial with every direction change and application of the brakes. The 1198 S addresses this important area by mounting new 7-spoke GP replica Marchesini forged and machined wheels. Both front and rear are lightweight and the S is supplied with Ducati's Data Analysis (DDA) and Ducati Traction Control (DTC) systems as standard equipment. The DDA package enables the retrieval and analysis of data collected from your previous track session or road trip. DTC monitors front and rear wheel speeds to detect rear wheel-spin under acceleration and electronically reduces engine power to restore traction. The S is also fitted with a Carbon front Hugger

Year:Riding the Hypermotard lets you rule the road. Wide handlebars transfer control of the tarmac to the rider and a full length seat eases fore and aft movement—up front when entering the turns, then slide back for maximum traction on exit.
A rigidly triangulated Trellis frame and track-tested chassis geometry is matched with state-of-the-art suspension. Start off with the road-holding prowess of huge 50mm Marzocchi forks, gripped by a triple screw lower fork crown. Year:This masterpiece of style and performance is powered by the legendary and charismatic 1100cc Desmodromic L-Twin engine, famous the world over for its torque and breathtaking acceleration. Conceived and built to redefine the naked concept, the Monster 1100 boasts typical Italian design while ensuring exciting performance in true Monster style.
The Monster 1100 is the lightest bike in its class: The 1100 S weighs in at 168kg (369lb) and the 1100 at just 169kg (373lb)!
The exceptional handling, combined with legendary torque from the Ducati Desmo engine, results in a pure, adrenalin-filled ride. Extremely lightweight 5-spoke Marchesini wheels help reduce unsprung weight, while the beautifully shaped single-sided swingarm gives the Monster a ‘tough’ look while ensuring higher rigidity, reduced weight and enhanced road holding.Increased ground clearance enables maximum lean angles when you explore the sports side of the Monster 1100 to the full.
The 43mm Showa forks and Sachs rear suspension unit are adjustable to suit your riding style and provide that perfect ‘feel’. The short Trellis frame, developed in conjunction with Ducati Corse, uses the same tube diameter and thickness as the 1098 R, while the rear subframe is derived from Desmosedici RR technology. The fantastic Brembo braking system features a radial master cylinder feeding radially mounted four-piston calipers on twin 320mm discs, an incredible set-up that guarantees optimum braking.
